Armed with 70 years of expertise, Cléon establishments are today among the key players in the French footwear industry. René Cléon created the factory in 1945 in La Romagne, in Anjou. As a craftsman boot and shoemaker, he developed its operations focusing on shoes for men with Kneipp-style stitching. His sons Louis-Marie and Jacques successfully joined the business. The company’s business grew impressively and a new factory was built at the beginning of the 1980s Production therefore expanded with the techniques of welding ; lateral stitching ; blake stitching ; moccasins ; strobel. We gradually launched our labels and developed creations which complement the quirks of each brand name; KELMAN, AUGUIN, REDSKINS, KOST, LE FORMIER, RECTILIGNE.

Today as French leaders in various sectors, they demonstrate our concern for creativity and innovation. By relying on our French factory and our partners in Europe and Asia, we create and manufacture in keeping with the values of excellence and elegance. As one of the instigators of the Innoshoe® charter for consumer protection, we also work alongside our suppliers to control the raw materials used.
